Where can i get a photo of a kit built?

Postby Jazza » Wed May 24, 2006 11:10 pm

Anyone know anywhere in Auckland that will copy a front lip off a photo? Obviously it wont be pefrect, but if it fits and looks similar im happy. I know this will be pricey, but anyone got ideas?

96 Curren, wanting to put this lip on it

Dude, do you know who's car that is? Those Enkeis look mad in black (prefer mine in white though! lol ).

It looks like a more extreme version of the front lip you find on the sport versions... like my one...

could try fairfax out in takanini-(09) 299-8290
They do some car stuff etc

as you say, it wont be cheap- could be just as cheap to import a front lip, or find something you like and have it altered- that would be cheaper generally.
For something to be made off a photo, they have to make a whole new plug, which is many hours of labour.
Cant believe im still a member here.

Yeh, problem is, its IMPOSSIBLE to find that front lip. Im literally willing to pay so much for a crappy 2nd hand lip that fits a curren. Even the stock one of the sport version (ZS?). Ive tried so many places... :(

Well if you find one with a kit, let me know- I want the rear corner bits! Bodykit and performance bits are hard to find- been there, asked before... not much luck....

I'm taking my car into a panelbeater soon (he's finishing off repairs made), I'll ask him where he sourced it from. One of my workmates also works at a wreckers in Auckland- I'll ask her.

SSII kits bolt straight on.

As for 3sgte'ing it and then getting a lip. Its purely for looks at this stage, and i cant do the engine till im at least 18.

Will celica kits fit it?

http://www.aerotech.co.nz/development.php

You could ask them and see what they are planning. I remember searching when I had my curren, I did find one place in the US that had one curren front lip but I can't for the life of me find the link again.

Chances are if you did find someone to custom make one you'd end up spending big dollars, why not go for a celica lip and get it modified? I'm sure there are many fibre-glassing places that would do it.

Short of going to Japan ...

http://www.katayama.nuee.nagoya-u.ac.jp ... k/link.htm

(not the one your looking for but curren nonetheless - http://www.hirojapan.com/hiro/products/ ... oyota2.htm)

http://www.varis.co.jp/ (go to 'extremor' link)

I think it's going to be very difficult to find one.
