temperature sensor testing AFE series engine

5afe, temperature sensor testing.

Anyone know how to do this? ive looked around the net and the obvious searches arent finding anything...

took the sensor out.

Cold reading was around 3900 ohms
Warm (ie water at 60 odd degrees) was at 800 ohms.

still cant find what its meant to be though...

The results sound about right, they usually go open loop when faulty. Whats the problem with the car?

extremely hard to start :(

have been checking things for a while now, nearly at wits end... i dont have the cash to throw at spare parts that arent going ot fix it, thats the major issue.

All Vac hoses connected? ex gf's 5efhe had 1 that caused an odd occurance every now and then, just because it "fell out"

yep, thats definitely fine.

However, have just found the headgasket appears to have gone... however the starting problem was prevailent before the headgasket looked problematic.
