16V 4age gearbox compatability

Are all 16v FWD gear boxes (5 speed) interchangable without modification? ie ae82- ae92 / blue top-redtop. Also are they interchangable between the models ie trueno levin - corolla?

Yes, just the rear mounts are slightly different at the back of the gearbox but if you have the mounts etc it's easy. I fitted an ae82 fxgt box to ae92 levin and sweet as. Ratios are closer in ae82 c52 compared to ae92 c52
