AE92-AE82 Qs

Postby trdfxgt » Wed Oct 11, 2006 9:29 am

just was on another post and it got me to thinking i have an ae 82 and a ae92 FXGT i lowered my 92 yesterday using ae 82 springs which fit just fine this 92 also has my old 82s exhaust system which i un bolted from one then bolted to the other so now my question is this when i changed the rear springs on the 92 i spotted a multi liink sway bar could i swap this to my 82 ? is there any potential bennifit to doing this it would be a strait forward operation to weld tags to my struts but the body mounts have me guessing

IIRC AE82 rear suspension setup is very different to AE92, the swaybar on AE82 is connected to suspension arms while on AE92 to the struts. Also rear struts and hubs are different.
