5 Stud conversion??

Postby soopachargen » Tue Aug 29, 2006 8:43 pm

Is it possible to change a fwd corolla to 5 stud using maybe camry or corona "hubs"?? Are the suspension arms etc similar enough that it would be feasible to swap the hubs over?? I'm not asking if its logical... or saying should i do it... jst can i do it?
When in doubt, down and out.

That GT4 converted EE90 Corolla that Ezy10s was selling was 5 stud. Not sure how it was done but might be worth looking at.

i'd say the drive flanges from the celica fit straight into the hub carrier of the celica if you use ALL the celica bearing in them. I know V6 Camry 5 stud 5 x 114.3 drive flanges can be done that way. toyota are sooo good when it comes to interchanging things

if you used V6 or Celica flanges then no, cause they run the BIG outer CV joints which run the largest spline size, if you however used St170/St190 corona 5 x 100 hubs they run smaller CV's/Splines and i THINK they are the same size as corolla.

AE92 AGZE powered car has the EXACT same drive flanges as non AGZE powered cars, i'd therefore conclude that they runn smaller outer CV's that GT4's and V6 camry's.

As far as I can tell my ST165 has same listing for bearings as AE82, and ST165 has same drive shaft hub spline as AE series car.
