Redtop on Bluetop ECU?

Postby lexusjeep » Mon Nov 13, 2006 9:40 am

Did a search without success, so will a smallport motor run OK on a bigport ECU? A guy I know is trying to do this, he said the injector plugs are different but the rest seems to plug in.

I'm trying to keep my distance :? :D but I thought I'd ask around for him.

Cheers

yep it runs sweet.

You just need the fuel rail as you said, and inlet manifold. You can use either redtop or bluetop throttle body, i used bluetop

runs fine!

sweet!

Cheers crnkin, I sold the guy my 'ol suzuki & the motor blew on him as he drove home (I did tell him it had a slight knock) so I feel a bit sorry for him. Then he got what was supposed to be a bluetop down from Auckland to bolt in & it turned out to be a redtop... we're gonna have to reverse the throttle body on it too.

Cheers

For the bluetop ecu to run a smallport redtop, you will need the bluetop dizzy, injectors and possibly a few other things. But u can just pinch them off the blown bluetop

And T.P.S has different plug between bluetop/ redtop tvis. I'd imagine smallport would be same,
