Removing steering wheel Q

Just wanna check im doing everything right. Im pretty sure im at the stage where i just need to pull it off the spline, but its not budging.

Might i need a wheel puller? Or more weetbix?

Try pounding each side of the wheel with your fists repeatedly (as if you are having the mother of all tantys :lol: ), that normally shocks the wheel off the spline and you can just slide it off.
We know that four-wheel drive doesn't work in a racing car, and I proved to myself that it doesn't work very well for rallycross. I'm absolutely convinced that it has no future in rallying, either, even if the regulations allowed it. - Roger Clark (rallying legend), circa 1976

I'm lazy and use a puller.....

And it may pay to put the nut back on for a few turns so if it lets loose it doesn't become all friendly like with your face.

yeah this will work. i was trying to pull the steering wheel out of my girlfriends are a while back and it wouldn't budge at all and i was beginning to wonder if i'd missed some bolts or something. asked another guy and he just came over, punched the wheel once on each side then pulled it off with one hand :oops:

made me feel like a complete dick after i'd been struggling with it for 10 minutes with both hands and my feet :lol:
