how much will this i/c handle?

Came off my AE85 suit small vehicle as front or top mount , made 120kw @ wheels on 5psi. core size is 255/200/65

what sort of kw would this sort of intercooler support? much more than 120kw?
are there any downsides to having an intercooler which is too big for the engine? or does it have to be waay to big before you start getting problems?

with my old intercooler which is approx 220x245x95 i made 223rwkw @ 13psi so your one probably still has a bit more in it.

im aiming for around 140kw - 160kw to start with, but don't want to have to upgrade the intercooler when I want more power...

just get a tardme type one in a smaller size, they have smaller sizes and they are only like 200$ . i used an evo sized core off tardme with good results,i found it better than the factory evo item i had before and showed a power gain on the dyno.

haha fair enough. if you're going to be eventually making over 150kw tho id be using good intercooling as a cheap way to make consistent power.

hard to say exactly where my gains came from but i gained 40kw atw by changing the cooler to a new one of similar size and replacing the turbo with an identical new one.
