Try www.usps.com

Shouldnt cost you anymore than $25US at a guess. I have bought items on ebay but the problem is Americans are very lazy and greedy (surprised?) and will most likely charge you extra because of the extra hassle for them in filling out customs forms etc

Don't you pay gst and/or duties on the imported stuff?

There are ways around it, the seller can just mark it as a gift or downvalue the item.

I think you are allowed to import duty free upto a certain value, not sure what that value is though

in theory yes. sometimes they slip through , sometimes it gets held in customs until such time as you pay gst.

apparently you can have it marked as a commercial sample or gift , or have it wrapped inconspicuously and it will more often get through. im sure they would know all about that tho.

bit of a gamble

hmm tial 38mm is $229US on there, which is $332NZ 8O

Bastards!! When I bought mine it came standard with a .6bar spring :( They have a range of options now! I had to obtain a 1bar spring separately.

In terms of importing etc, I think I paid $200+ for freight (4 days!!!) and from memory ATPTurbo use Fedex only. Bear in mind I got the wastegate with a fairly chunky sized turbo, which would have boosted the freight quite substantially. If you just got like 12 wastegates in one shipment you might start getting it quite cheap.

I didn't get stung for GST with my purchase.

They have some pretty cool stuff on ATP these days!! You can get genuine Garrett T3/T4s on there for quite reasonable prices.

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merch ... y_Code=WGT

shipping weight of 3lb, which is 1.3kg, anyone care to price shipping from US to NZ at 1.3kg  surely it cant be that much, not the 100$ more you pay in NZ anyway.

http://ircalc.usps.gov list it as US$29.50 for EMS shipment, so about $45. But a lot of places won't use USPS and you'll pay huge amounts + customs and other fees using Fedex, DHL, UPS etc.

You shouldn't get charged customs on anthing less than $400NZ in value thta's shipped via the postal service, but freight companies will charge it on anything, as well as adding a filing fee...ripoff

When I bought a GT2871R from ATP they did mark the price down quite a bit, but I still have to pay mad tax.

No Lith, staying with the DP but the wastegate diapharm sucks bananas on it, it's held on by 1 bolt and it's about to fall off, and I can't do anything about it, and I can't fit my watercool lines coz it gets in the way.

Besides, externals sounds mad au, and my engine's behind my cabin so it's all legal, not like it'll stop me anyway.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

i thought u couldnt stand the sound akane :D i spoke to someone who had one exiting out the top on an mr2 and they said it got tiring very quickly.

im all for them in terms of having reliable boost control tho. sound is just a personal thing i guess, altho it does help identify boost leaks very quickly, and saved me from damaging my new turbo too.

price excludes gst

12.5% of 400= about 44$ making it actually over 440 which is about the norm.
