st185 window switch trouble

Postby Anth_555 » Wed Jan 17, 2007 6:26 pm

i started to notice my drives window switch panel was getting very hot even when the car had been off for a while the next day the battry was dead (not sure if its got 2 do with problem) so i took the switchs out and the cooper strips on the borad are black . whet to the mecanices next door they beleve the auto part of the drivers switch had $!@# out and that it wasnt truning off (could explan why the battrey went flat) (switch had been working fine just sometimes when you went 2 wind up or down you had to hold it abit before it woud move) so went down to the reckers and got another one is working fine but wires are geting hot and the cooper tracks look black (i didnt cheak to see if they were like that before)
i am gessing this one is stuffed too or there is a wire erathing out some where down the line?
