Small Port Altenator & Starter motor

Hey, My altenator (i think) is starting to sound more like a grinder than an altenator (when a lot of electricity is being drawn it sounds like metal scraping metal) and my starter motor is a bit selective on when it wants to work.

So. I thought i would start trawling trademe and the like to find a good deal before they pack up.

Question (providing my thinking above is sound):

what 4age altenators and starter motors are direct bolt-ons? (i.e. no fabrication/fornicating about required)

i thought maybe a big port would be and a guy on trademe reckons a silvertop is a direct bolt on

Silvertop bolts to intake side...bigtop to exhaust side.
(I have a bigport on for sale if you need it... )

Ah thanks man, So a big port and a small port are the same?
