MR2 not starting.

Started it with little trouble a few days ago. Hadn't been started in a few months and required a new battery. When to start it up this morning to take it in for a WOF and it won't catch. Cranks over but not firing. Suspect there maybe a shut down code due to the ABS light coming on, Anyone with some insight?

first thing to do is to pull a spark lead off the spark plug, then hold it near the head and get someone to crank the engine and see if it's sparking. If it isn't, you have an ignition problem, if it is you probably have a fuel problem(check to see if the exhaust smells like gas too). Once you know which one is the issue you can much more easily diagnose the problem

Sorted, was an alarm fault stopping fuel flow. I just fed it some ether to check for spark.
