ECU 4AGE 16v Piggy back or start from scratch

Postby R.U.F » Wed Mar 14, 2007 4:26 pm

Hi guys,

Just looking for some advice on ecu set ups. Running a blue top with extractors, usual breathing and atlantic pistons. Not sure what ecu set up is the best bang for $$. I have been offered a Greddy e-management piggy back system at a great price.

Just need some advice from any1 who has used a piggy back as to the quality of results. I have heard that the piggy back style system is flawed but would rather not spend a fortune on a full system if the results aren't greatly better for street application.

On the other hand. Will the standard ecu handle the piston change? Should I even bother?

How much is the emanage? a full lem from mister2 on this forum is not much more than a grand...

For what its worth the piggy back on my small port yielded very nice results... well worth the money... but i paid just over a grand for it so if i did it again i would buy a lem (from mister 2)

when i buy a computer for mr2 ill get a lem and it sounds like i have less mods than you mate..

I take it you mean link engine management by LEM. The e management will run me about $800 + install. I have been told by a couple oof people that the emanagement is not ideal for Toyota. Anyone running one have any info on them?

Thanks
