pressure bent vs factory spec exhaust

Postby TOYO-GT-T » Tue Mar 27, 2007 10:05 pm

Just wondering if there are any reasonable performance gains when opting for a catback presure bent exhaust over your factory exhaust with a decent muffler and possibly the cat removed.

I know a mandrel bent exhaust is far better than a presure bent exhaust with a flow difference of up to 30%. But at the end of the day my caldina gt-t is never going to be a rocket and I have no intentions of any further mods so I find it hard to justify spending money on a mandrel bent system but at the same time do not want to decrease what little performance my car has from factory.

if you have no intentions for further mods and have no probs with the standard unit, I'd keep it as is. May be small gains in swapping, but nothing worth writing home about. A poor press bent setup may even reduce flow.
