3SGTE not starting..

Ive just finished putting my new 3SGTE into my ST185. Ive hooked up 95% of it (all thats left is TVIS and knock sensor i think), and it hasnt got an intake or turbo. Im not wanting it to run for ages as-is, just wanting to confirm ive done it right.

Now the car turns over at normal speed, with a jump start cos my battery has gone dead. As im cranking it seems to fire for 1 or 2 revolutions, but wont run. ECU shows no fault codes.

What sorta things should i be looking for? Im a bit of a newbie to engine conversions.

without AFM properly connected it will not run.

AFM was plugged in, but wasnt in the intake. Do i have to put the turbo and intake on for the car to run?

Shouldn't need the turbo, but at the very least you'll have to have the AFM in the intake. Without flow through it the ECU will think there is no fuel required.

Ok, ill dummy up the intake, and see how i get on.

Big thanks to Sergei and Fivebob! The GT4 now officially runs. Tries to cut out with no throttle, but that'll be an easy fix once its all back together
