16v valve clearance

are all 16v the same specs?

i have bluetop cams in a bigport gze.

if they arnt all teh same do i use the gze or bluetop clearance, cheers

Also what torque do they go down too?

Looking at the 3 different 4age manuals I have they are all the same spec.
Torque setting for the camshaft cap bolts is 130kg-cm / 9ft-lb / 13nm

Valve clearence (cold)

Intake 0.15 - 0.25mm / .006 - .010 inch
Exhaust 0.20 - 0.30mm / .008 - .012 inch


is that what you had pelo?

inlet .006 - .010 inch
exhaust .008 - .012 inch

most of my inlets shims were at .006, should i be getting smaller ones as thats right on the limit or will that be ok?

btw one of my inlets scored .002 :oops: :lol: :roll:

need to know asap as ill order em tomorrow

yea had a chat to the toyota mechs in kumeu, they said just to replace the ones that are over/under
