Postby embai883 » Sat Apr 07, 2007 11:11 pm

the car had only travelled 58000km and i assume that shouldnt happen, this also sort of happen on my old gt-four st185 but doesnt affect anything though still engage properly and stuff....

Does it do it when in gear and driving along? Release bearing noise is usually with clutch pushed in and goes away when you release it

Try moving release fork with hands and see if that changes the noise.
If release bearing is semi-seized it will grind against pressure plate making bleeding ears noise even if you are not really pressing it.

so it goes away when you push the clutch in yes?
Could be input bearing on its way out. Dont know what those boxes are like, but have changed on a few cars of similar mileage.
If its when you push clutch in then release bearing as above.
Cant believe im still a member here.
