Depends when it was calibrated - I set the one at my (then) local Mobil to 33psi when I checked it with my own gauge the tyres were at 40psi. Pumps at other stations matched my gauge pretty closely so this one was just a bad egg.
However, you can't beat a good tyre pressure gauge of your own.
We know that four-wheel drive doesn't work in a racing car, and I proved to myself that it doesn't work very well for rallycross. I'm absolutely convinced that it has no future in rallying, either, even if the regulations allowed it. - Roger Clark (rallying legend), circa 1976
