Rear Screen Demister/Heater Repairs

I'm sure there's someone out there smarter than me who knows how to actually test the individual wires in a rear screen heater to see if they're working, and also how you might repair the ones that aren't? If you know, please tell me!! Thanks in anticipation.

One resonably easy way to trace the break is to turn the demister on and using a voltmeter or small test light start at the edges and carefully work your way in with one lead of the tester untill the lamp goes out or the volts disappear. As for fixing the break there is a repair kit out there with a little vial of paint,paint brush and mask for about $25, Bindons and i think super cheap do them, not repco though.
