For a front mount air to air intercooler setup you really need a intercooler with the in/outlets on the same side, other wise you end up having pipes snaking about the place. I was originally going to use a factory 3sgte mr2 intercooler also a factory intercooler out of a ma70 is a good size which also has the in/outlets on the same size.

W2A, if your gonna use a front mount you may as well go turbo. FMIC defeats the purpose of keeping it supercharged IMO.

There is no problem using a fmic on a supercharged motor as long as the intercooler pipe lenghts are kept to a minimum, and thats very achievable especially when in rwd format.

i have a large front mount on my sc14 ZE and i have kept pipe length short. There is a bit of lag but its not huge. Best would be to go W2a or Vr4 one would be my next best option ;)

bear in mind a lot of the old factory intercoolers are old and pretty rooted now with rusty fins etc. i had an evo3 one that was pretty rooted, and replaced with a similar sized new trademe one and it made a big difference to temps and power.

i have seen fmic on trade me for 300 brand new will inlet and outlet on the same side would that be a good desision..? so if i had just a ordaiary front mount it would get pretty bad lag with the long piping?

while on the topic, whats the advantage of having bigger inlet/outlets on an intercooler?
can you have a inlet/outlet which is too big, hence creating lag?
is it best to stick to the same size as your throttle body and/or turbo outlet if you can?

thanks.
