high idle causes

ok i ve replaced alotta crap on my gze but want to make sure its completely mint idle!

so if anyone could list anything, absolutely anything that would cause high idle it would be appreciated.

so far ive got:

*incorrect ignition timing
*incorrect cam timing
*air leak (gaskets/hoses)
*incorrect TPS
*incorrect ISC
*idle screw
*faulty AFM
*faulty ECU
*bad earth
*valve clearances out
*throttle cable sticking

everything above has beeen checked/or replaced.

so im looking for anything else?

can dodgy wiring contribute>? :?:

if you have any more, post em up and ill add them to the list

please help

yea its not even hooked up, but ill add it

its got bluetop cams, so im expecting a higher idle, but not 800rpm higher!

the gze's all have odd idles. its something toyota never ever fixed. I idle anywhere between 1-2.5 depending on how my gtz feels i guess. if you find a solution id love to hear it!

Blocked coolant hoses to the throttle body along with the waxstat thingy being sticky - if it's got one. Take the throttle body off and give it all a good soak and clean, then make sure there's coolant flowing nicely through the lines when you put it back on.

hmm can dirty injectors actually be a cause. ?


i have cleaned the throttle body as best i can

Eliminate the idle control valve by blocking all the holes with your fingers...
Stuffed/dodgy valve = fingers work a treat. Answer is then take the valve off and replace it with a plate.
Fingers do nothing (or very little) = something VERY wierd...
