Is it just a big "KLONK donk donk" sort of sound?
Possibly the front or rear engine mount.
If it is they will need replacing so go throw your wallet at Mr Toyota...

Or diff mount, that'd quite likely make a clonking noise too.
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

Thats the diff mount, a genuine one is about $400 and will just break again, better off getting a nolathane one made up, probably cheaper too.

yeah it's the diff mount. Pretty easy to replace, call up Autolign in Auckland, ask if you can send it to them to be filled with nolathane, or if they know anyone down there that does it. It'll cost about $100.

Try Mossrax on Belfast Street (just behind Basin Reserve MacDonands)

They made me up nolathane engine mounts, so I am sure they can make a diff mount up. They are suspension people after all.

Before buying parts climb under the rear of the car (on jackstands, not on a jack).

Find the rear diff and on the rear face of it there is a mounting block, aound 5 inches by 5 inches. It has two bolts in the centre, one above the other.

You may see that the centre part (with bolts) is torn free of the surrounding rubber, allowing the diff to rock forward and aft, making the clonking noise. If that is not the issue then you have other problems.

It can be replaced without removing the diff. From meory I undo the bolts holding the diff to subframe and the cross member, allowing the diff to slide forward, gives lots of room.

I think I've done this 3 times on two different cars.

If you get it done in urethane get it done solid without holes, otherwise it tears again.

Autolign in 12 Petone cres(I think), Petone(off Gear st). If the other guys are suggesting Autolign in Auckland the Wellington branch may be able to help. They stock a wide range of Nolathane bits and pieces.
