***external wastegate question***

i am think bout puting external wastegate on a 4agze turbo set up.....i no they are illegal for wof time so i am thinkng wat i can do 2 pass the wof...

can u just get a plate and bolt over the exteral flange?

or would u have to make another pipe to bolt onto external port and plumb back into exhaust system?

has anyone done this before would like to no thanks

just plumb it back into the exhaust system and it should be fine

Spend the time to make a exaust system so that you can bolt in a pipe that connects the external to the exaust system, and also have a block off plate for the exaust system and a seprate "screamer pipe", so at WOF time you can bolt in your plumb back pipe and it be legal as

i certantly would recomend a bolt in pipe as screamer pipes are all fun at times but when the novelty wears off its nice to be able to bolt in and have relative quietness and then just put the screamer and block off plate on when you want noise

Just to make a block off plate on the bottom off the screamer pipe isnt recomended...well its ok if the WOF inspector dosent hit boost...if he does something could get nicely damaged when your freeboosting
