Recommended fmic size for 4agte? to have minimum lag

Postby jdm 102 » Thu Jun 14, 2007 2:09 pm

I tried the search function but couldn't really dig up anything that answered my query

As suggested in the title. Planning on a wrx turbo (td04? or something like that), just waiting on the person who will make the manifold for it. I was suggested a 450x300x76 fmic , or someone else said make it long but very thinny? I'm not so much after the looks because I'll have painted it black anyway (or should I not do that ? lol) .. will be running 10-12psi at most (coz on stock ecu til I can afford aftermarket one). Don't know if its of significance but car has aircon and I don't plan to take that out (basically not have to take out anything to get anything in there)

thanks :D

go for something around 350-400 long, 180-200 high and 50-65mm thick, use 2 inch or 2 1/4 inch piping to and from it

I'd be impressed if you can actually detect a difference in lag up to 600x300x76 intercoolers.

i have a pretty good condition vr4 one with bigger inlet and outlets, 2" inlet and 2.25" outlet. worked well on my car, only had it up to 20psi and was great.

make me a decent offer
