Thread for new gear stick lever.

Postby Bumpy » Tue Jun 19, 2007 6:28 pm

I need a new gear stick lever, cause I used a hacksaw on my current one to make it shorter.

Got some 12mm rod this morning, and a 12mm die aswell.

Quite proud that I made the thread and the TRD gearknob actually winds onto it :D

Just one question for those who have done this before ... how do you get it straighter???

It's alright, but it could be a little straighter ...

Heat it up, give it a tweak. Next time use a square to make sure you've got it all lined up before threading it.
