LinkPlus G3 or Wolf V500?

Does anyone have experience with either of these ECUs?
Any comments on the strengths or weaknesses in either of them?

Links are discussed a lot on here, do some homework by using the forums search function.

links are very easy to setup yourself to an entent. Is there anything specific/features you want an ECU to have ??? With the G3 you can setup antilag, flatshifting, launch control (Only one of).

Lunchie off these forums had a wolf 3d v4/5 (cant member exact) in his levin. Nobody in dunedin would touch the thing. In the end he now had a g3 and works great. But yea, ease of tune with decent features is what id suggest.

Your gonna pay alot less in tuning time if you have an ECU that does the same thing but doesnt require a physics degree to tune (or to that extent. you get my point) Plug in via usb means if you want to play around later on, and you are knowledgeable you can fiddle around with rev limit, idle, rev limit on warm up etc etc.
I had vtax :(

Ah, thought that might be the case - not many places around to actually tune the wolf.

would definity recommend the link plus g3

very easy to use software which is free(unlike wolf i think)
usb onboard so no interface box needed to connect to a laptop
can do sequential injection and ignition on up to 8 cylinders etc etc

theres really good support for links too. from link themselves and from alot of tuners

I'd only use a microtech on a rotary, & even then I'd probably still you use a link/haltech & I sell them all. Microtech is ok, but you are limited with load points & inputs/outputs. Plus it is laptop tuneable but you can't save you maps to disc etc.

As for a wolf, we've tuned a few up here with reasonable results. Noty as fast to tun as a Link but then we probably do 100 times more Links than wolf's. Biggest issue used to be with the triggering & ignition sensor setups on th wolf, but i believe they have solved those now.

Wolf comes with software and PC cable. New ones look to be a pretty decent step up from the older stuff. Pretty nice looking interface with the PC from the pics too, and seemingly not too bad to tune (as far as the magazine article would lead me to believe).

8 injector outputs (for up to 32 injectors, 16 cylinder), 8 ignition outputs, pretty much anything you want to run it will do, datalogging, 125rpm map steps, internal or external MAP sensor, diagnostics etc

Just for those who are curious. Doesn't seem bad for the price
