boost cut

just wanted to know if its normal for the engine light to come on as soon as the car hits boost cut, car is a soarer twin turbo

yep, my supra did that on the boost cut before i got the defender

yep... thats the engine protecting itself... boost cut engages if the boost goes above the factory limits

it is normal yes. to reset in my old gt4. You had to take out the EFI fuse in the fusebox. this reset it and took it out of limp mode. Im not sure how similar your soarer will be but it gives you and idea

Wow - In My Gen1 Sw20 all you have to do is turn the engine off and on again - Had to do it going down the bridge once when i got boost creep going up it in forth....

really wierd, the use very similar ecu's, well they would have to, its the same engine. I do remember trying that and it didnt seem to work.

There were 2 diff ecu's, or a slighty different tuned cos i had a higher boost cut being the facelift version. very wierd tho.

limp mode so does that mean my car is running in limp mode at the moment coz i havent reset it yet, also how do u remove the boost cut in a soarer is there a easy way like in the mr2's coz i only have done intake an intercooler an its gettin boost cut now an then.....

The facelift is different, it has different pin configuration to the prefacelift. Altho i could just turn mine off and back on to reset mine, and i hit cut all the time on cold days.
