Flywheel query

Postby Dell'Orto » Sun Jun 24, 2007 1:46 pm

Is there anyway to check that a lightened factory flywheel is safe? Finally got the motor out of the race car, and the flywheel is easily half the thickness of a factory one 8O
I'm kinda dubious about it, I kinda like my legs and can't be arsed buying a ballistic blanket
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons

If you do find someone to say it's safe, they still won't buy you new legs if they're wrong.

Go with your gut.

Might be a bit hard to adapt a 4AGE flywheel though
I'll post up some pics of it afterwards, it looks like its been done correctly (ie centre not really been touched) but its very very thin
