4agze - blue top head?

Postby raddies » Sun Jul 01, 2007 8:37 pm

hey dudes working on my rwd 4agte project, have an AE92 small port ze, and as suspected my inlet manifold off my old bluetop doesnt suit the inlet ports on the ze block, to concore this i plan to put my bluetop head onto my 4agze as know bluetop cams improve performance anyway.

Anyone done this with good results? cheers dudes

most prefer using a smallport head. and adding bluetop cams to this head.

you could just buy a smallport inlet manifold and cut n shut it.

pretty hard to find at times tho

would it not be easier to change heads though instead of cut an swaping a fwd manifold??

i dunno, both have advantages... in time and money, but smallport heasds are said to make more power

if you really want to go with a genuine rwd manifold, you'll (obviously) need a bigport head. you can either use the bluetop head + cams, or grab a head off an aw11 4agze then put bluetop cams in that (this is what im doing). the aw11 4agze is a bigport.

i find cutting and shutting manifolds can be a bit untidy, if you already got a genuine rwd manifold i'd stick with that and find a bigport head.

where abouts are you? ive got a bluetop head here if needed. unknown condition so you could have it cheap. cant be bothered with shipping though
