4AGE Silvertop not idling correctly

Postby Stricken » Sun Jul 01, 2007 11:08 am

Hey

I have a 93' Levin with a 20V Silvertop in it. When the car idles the tacho jumps up and down to around 6-7k although the engine remains at idle rpm. Then if I try to accelerate the idle drops substantially until the point where the car stalls.

Initially I thought it was the coil so I replaced this to no avail. Keeping in mind the clutch is pretty much gone, would this affect the car in this way ?

What are some things I could look over to isolate the cause of this ?

Cheers :D

Have you found out what it is yet?
had the same thing on my silvertop when I put it in my ae92, but when i started it from really cold it was sweet untill a minute of runing. I didn't fix it, but if you still want to know what it was then I can find out.
By the way, my ECU Blew up after about 100km :( so I hope that wont happen to you after you find out what is wrong.
And It was to do with the wiring, I know that much :?
At lest it's not a Honda
