Postby GT4PWA » Mon Jul 09, 2007 9:09 pm

If i have a 3SGTE Gen 2 block do i need a Gen 2 head or can i get a different Gen Head?

If i can use a different Gen head which ones will work and what fabrication if any will be required?

i did fit a gen3 head to a gen2 block, fitted fine with 1 notice of the oil gall / water galleries not quite the same size ( they didnt cross over or nothing funky ).. They were just bigger / smaller by a small amount ( i forget what way tho ).

The galleries may be a little different, but the flow through the head is all about the head gasket. There is a difference in the number and size of the (i think) water supply holes in the head gasket between rev2/3
