wheel bounce under acceleration

Postby barryogen » Thu Jul 12, 2007 1:09 pm

My left front wheel bounces under heavy-ish acceleration... I'm guessing that the shock is probably shagged?

If so, is it best to repair, or replace? and if so, just the one, or both(front pair?), or all 4?

Revhead if you're reading this(you seem to read all posts 8O ), assuming I need a replacement, can you price up a zze123 TRD sportivo shock(or two if they come in pairs)...

Could be your shock, but more likely sounds like axle tramp. Has it only just started, or has it always been like that? Check your suspension bushes are all good as well as the shocks themselves.

Deanis uses traction bars to stop axle tramp on the CRX he drags. Helps it to hook up much better and he doesn't break drive shafts anymore.

no idea, I'm in the car, but I hear it bouncing one way or another.

2001 Corolla RunX, just a street car.

It has only just started in the last week or so.

Might just drop it into the mechanic, I wouldn't know if a suspension bush was worn or not.

jack it up & check for wiggles (not the kids band), usually a good sign a bush is worn im lead to believe.

Its not a wheel bearing? I remember u were having issues awhile back with something similar weren't u?
Ending up with spare parts in assembling things since 1983
