GT Starlet Brake Lines

Postby ShiRuBiA » Fri Jul 13, 2007 7:16 pm

Hey y'all

I am transferring the rear axel and disk brakes from my buggered GT Starlet to my (yeah ok, dont laugh too hard) Sera, but im unsure how to disconnect the brakes.

If I undo it at point A, the hose is still connected to the chassis, unless point C will also be disconnected when i undo A? Is point D the same, if i undo it at the bottom, will it come out at the same time? Or can I just chop it at point B and replace the hose?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

you can chop it at B if you really want to, but the easiest way is to undo the hose at point A like you said. the hose side of that connection is stepped, and in that step is a little clip that holds the hose into the bracket that its in. pull the clip out with a pair of pliers (or a screwdriver and a hammer if its tight) and you'll be away.
