name those wires?

Postby EVL20V » Sun Jul 15, 2007 5:43 pm

ok on 20v ae101,

theres 8? wires running down side of cam cover, since i have removed a/c i have 6 wires doing nothing.

1 wire = plug beside oil filter
1 wire = vvt solenoid wire

am left with 6 wires, 1 would have been air temp sensor, 1 or 2 for the A/C unit? also anyone fixed the issue with fan running with key turned to IGN? cheers

ahh the fan running 100% after removing the air con..

Split open the loom the water temp switch (one on the thermostat) goes into and join its wire to the other one with the same colour codes.

Could that also be why my fan runs all the time? Because the air con has been pulled out?? ('86 EP71 Turbo S)

yeah the car will run without the oxy sensor..

Umm The oxy sensor wires (4 of em) would be in the rear half of the engine loom, I just spliced the front half, trying to trace the wires untill I tried this and it worked
