Engine light in 98 Celica St202 3sfe

Hello what could be the possible cause of the engine light coming on , It takes about 5 mins then comes on then goes off after about ten minutes and stays off untill car is started up again then away it goes again ? Thanks

could be one of many things, probably best to either read the codes of it, or have someone do it for you.

to me it sounds like oil pressure maybe, as in it takes too long to get up to pressure, and is then fine... either way, I wouldn't be driving it until you know whats borked.
