wiring up an ecu

just a quick one is it ok to cut the plugs off my old loom and solder them to the new one? i heard some where that it can effect the voltage or something like that, its a microtech lt10s ecu as far as i know it runs 12 v direct current but i could be wrong.

as long as its a good join it should be fine.
i recoment soldering then shrink wrap
i probably over do the shrink wrap but better safe than sorry
