rust in fuel lines

Postby Mike- » Tue Aug 21, 2007 9:25 pm

i just removed the 4age from my ke70 on the weekend and when i pulled the fuel hose off it spilled a bit of fuel as it usually does, but the fuel looked like rusty water,

Could it be that the lines are corroding? it hasnt been run on that E10 stuff yet

I think it had some fuel sitting in the tank for a while but since then ive been through over a tank.

any ideas on this?

last time I let an older car sit, it took until the tank had been nearly empty to really get the rusty sh|t to break of the inside of the tank, I guess because the fuel had to slosh around to break it off.
