Postby Soarer T » Tue Aug 28, 2007 3:53 am

the car has 5SFE at the moment, its 98 model (SXV25W). thinking to rebuild the motor or do the swap.may be just drop another motor for the moment. just want to ask that if i want to do the swap to another early model 5sfe. maybe 1MZFE, is that engine and box bolt straight on the chassis(eg, engine mounts, cross member)?is ECU,pin and plugs the same for different years?anything need to be modify? cheers.

you cant put an 'early model' 5SFE into it as it doesn't have all the block mounting provisions you require to mount the motor, namely where the hanger bearing/engine mount bolts on, also they dont have a provison for a knock sensor, which your engine will definitily have
