4agze and 20v parts interchangable?

Postby Zyros » Thu Aug 30, 2007 8:22 pm

Hey, does anyone know if 4agze and 20v silvertop parts are interchangable?

have a turbo project, but the car's a 20v.. motors out and all, but may just get a 4agze long-block, untill i save for a parts, link etc for the 20v.

But, will all the silvertop parts bolt straight up onto a 4agze long-block?
So in the end, the 4agze will have everything alt / startr / belts etc and the silvertop will be just a long-block..

Ofcourse loom+ecu will need to be changed as i know.

Get some forged pistons and your silvertop bottom end will handle plenty.
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

gze pistons will fit straight in, gze bottem end is practically the same as silvertop besides the pistons.
Gze's are too overpriced

I think they are about $500 new, probably simmilar to what youd pay for a gze bottem end

If you use the 20v head you would need a custom 'plenum' or whatever its called. The bit with '4 throttle' written on it, as it wont like boost.
But you can keep 20v loom etc

Yeah, well.. with a few quotes on re-building the bottom end of the silvertop, i may aswell do it.. for a few hundred more (like 2 hun) than how much i can get the gze longblock + shipping, i can get everything + new pistons n rings.
