Power Steering pump in a AE85

Postby Trls250s » Tue Sep 04, 2007 12:29 pm

I am fitting a 4age into my car. I have finished rebuilding the motor with ACL bearings and gaskets (along with a fue toyota genuine parts).

Its nearing completion on the engine stand, and i decided to start mounting the extras to the motors. I looked at the alternator i have and it mounts on the left hand side look at it front on. This is the same side as the 3AU power steering pump.

Couple of questions.

Will the 3AU power steering pump mount to the 4A block?

If not any suggestions for relocating the power steering system so the pump is on the right hand side?

Simplier, does anyone have a non-power steering ae85/86 rack they want to sell?

Anyone got a firewall side rwd water housing (fwd one contains a thermostate, but the 3AU one is seperate from the engine so i will use that)?

Finally, anyone want a writern off ST205 GT4 Celica shell with windscreen, FREE TO A GOOD HOME

a 4age power steering pump bolts to the right hand side and work fine with an ae85 p/s rack. might need to do some modifications to the lines thats all, hydraquip can do that for you.
