ae100g brake swap prop valve?

Postby soopachargen » Tue Nov 20, 2007 6:05 pm

i have an ae100g corolla wagon and have a disc brake rear setup for it... i have been unable to find a disc proportioning valve, the wrecker suggested that they use the same proportioning valve from drum to discs, is this correct? and what size master cylinder does the ae101 gtz run??
When in doubt, down and out.

Disk brake calipers needs higher pressure to get the same braking force.
A drum brake proportion valve will give a lower pressure to the rear when compared to a disk proportion valve.
You will have no problem with rear brake locking.
However - your overall braking will be better if you can find a disk proportion valve.

Hope this helps

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!
