T28 turbo on 4age

Postby l1ttle_d3vil » Fri Nov 30, 2007 5:36 pm

Anyone got any advice on running a T28 turbo on a 4age? I know the T25 is a small-ish turbo, good for fast spool but doesn't have much top end. How different is the T28?

Would one with the following specs be good for around 200kw atw on a stock aw11 4agze block? I can't really interpret any of this stuff so any help is appreciated!

Also, is the T28 the same flange as a T3?

cheers.

If you buy a small Turbo youll want bigger, if you have a Big Turbo, youll probley want someting a little smaller, i bet yah!!

its a hard choice, no such thing as a perfect turbo.

Go big, brag to your mates, mines bigger than yours lol 8)

yeah, originally i went n/a, now I'm building a turbo 4age. once this is built, i'll want to go turbo 7age
if I can get something near 200kw atw I'll be happy, with any turbo aslong as it isn't excessively laggy. one of these turbos has come up for a decent price but i'm just a bit hesitent in buying it because i'm not totally sure of its capability.

i reckon a vf24 like i use would be a good compromise. usable boost in the mid 3000rpm, 201psi by early 4000rpm, and capable of 220kw atw. i got my one brand new for 1100. not bad for a decent sziewd ballbearing turbo.

Yeah had two versions of them on my car,

was a Silvia T28 for a while, then had a GTiR wheel fitted to the exh side and a larger wheel on the intake too.
was around the 200kw at 18psi on a stardard silvertop with GZE pistons.
