Knock Sensor location on a ST215W 3SGTE Caldina

Where do I find this sensor reason for asking is my car is pinking on BP 98 and even more on the new Gull Force 10 Biofuel Ive just recently had the manifold planed due it leaking and im thinkin the mechanic has not reconnected the sensor. :?:

jack it up, get under it look at back of block about midway along, halfway up

its on the inlet side, approx 40-50mm below the top of the block, around the number 3 inlet port area

If you're not getting an Engine Check Light then the knock sensor is connected and working. If it wasn't connected, or didn't produce the right signal, then the Engine Check Light would come on, and it would retard the ignition.

Cool will have a look at work tomorrow and let ya know. But just as a secondary question what else could cause it to pink with this hi premium fuel still running factory equiment.

timing could be out to cause the pinking

I thought so 2 but with todays technology the computer takes control of all the major components I havent even touched the c/belt since ive brought it and even if i had the tools to adjust the settings all im doing is the base timing. Comp takes over from there.

Might be worth chatting to "BZG WAGON"

Also I thought the bio fuel was not suitable for the gtt caldina?? (Not that i'd expect it to be the cause of the pinking being higher octane)
