1ggte starter/starting random problem!

hey just fitted a 1ggte into a gx71 cressida, have ecu plugged in and loom plugged into bodyloom plug (all yellow plugs) and go to start the car, the starter motor starts in ON instead of only at START !. so 1 click too early, and when i turn the key to start while its crankin it doesnt change just keeps cranking. wierd?! , maybe wired up wrong?
