How about doing something like that to reduce the fuel pressure at idle

Interesting/good way to do it, but for that I'd have to change the fuel lines to a return type from the current returnless type... if I'm gonna do that, I may as well use staged injectors as I'd probably have to change the fuel rail somewhat anyway.

that is correct... different engines, and markedly different fuel systems, but yeahs thats pretty much where I had got to in the thought process... grab some 800s and try it.

i'm changing my 550's (flowed 576cc each) because i have them pretty much maxed on 25psi at 92% duty cycle. and a higher base pressure up to 52psi.

Probably the same 550cc Injectors I run, which flowed about 600c,
but test fluid flows more than real fuel, so thats where the difference is.

My car is still running them, at 380hp atw on 18psi, with a 3.5 bar base pressure, but too high in the duty cycle aswell.

I have just got some 800's to go in there now with a bigger pump.

I did a whole lot of working on injector flow rate to hp ages ago,
but cant seem to find the workings I had.

How would that work? Yopu would need to apply more vacuum at idle to reduce the fuel pressue, not stop the vacuum being applied.

FWIW, the GZE's also have the same system.
The VSV is activated by power from the key in the start position to prevent vapour lock in the rail on hot restart.
