Better let it be known that the car's an EP71 Turbo S, with a C152.
Starting at the beginning, I was driving home from Auckland to Christchurch, and approx. 25km before Hamilton, I lost the clutch. I tried bleeding the hydro's on the side of the road, and after no luck, I (and my 11yr old brother!) learn't very quickly how to drive with no clutch! Got to Hamilton and tried a new master cylinder, still no luck, so the decision was made to drive on to chch with no clutch. After an 'enlightening' journey home, we made it. Anyway, I pulled the gearbox out and found a spring had come out of the clutch, and in turn, the clutch was jammed. I got a new clutch kit, and while the gearbox was out, I split it (about 15mm - as I didn't want to take off fifth gear etc) and re-sealed it (as it was leaking) and also pulled the rear cover and did the same. I put it all back together today, into the car and everything sorted and I CAN'T get it into first gear!!

Now. my questions, first, is it something to do with the long drive and no clutch that's stuffed it? (Although it did go into first before I took the gearbox out) or is it when I split it and something may have gone where it's not supposed to?
Second, is it worth me pulling it apart and fixing whatever's wrong? Are C152's hard to find? Or is it worth "upgrading" to a C52 out of a GT?
Anything anything would be appreciated as i'm a little lost as of the moment and would love some light on the situation!!
Cheers again,
Kent
