V-Band Clamps - Sizing

Managed to get me a V-Band clamp today and it seems to be tooooo big.

I measured the pipe and thats 3" and also the 'v band bits' are 3".

Should the v-bands be bigger for a 3" pipe?

also if the v-bands are 3", what size should the clamp be?

yea they can be a pita to get the correct size,

go into NZF in westfield place, westfield, they have stainless v band clamps on the shelf, best to take in what you want it for to get the correct size
