4AGTE throttle problem!

Postby raddies » Sat Jan 26, 2008 3:18 pm

hey guys just got my rwd 4agte running in my ke70, its running a map sensored 4agze ecu. its drives nicely but has issues going/holding a constant speed.

It seems to want to either accelerate or decelerate, as i take my foot slightly off the gas to cruise" it will drop back to as if ive taken my foot completly off, then ill push on the gas slightly more and it will have a Slight delay an then accelerate..

Could this be a faulty TPS?? or the rwd ae86 maniflod having issuies with my computer set up??

any help would be mint, cheers

yeah they are small port but put a ae86 bluetop big port head on the 4agze block therefore can use the rwd inlet manifold, is there any way of testing the tps or just have to purchase a replacement and try it?

its running coil packs not dizzy

cheers guys

could be something to do with the spark/timing, but i'd be checking TPS first.

check out here for info on testing/setting the tps:

a smallport/map gze ecu running an engine with a bigport head? Honestly i'd expect this to run like crap. If i were you i'd put the smallport head back on and cut and shut the smallport manifold for rwd. Those heads are too different to expect it to run mint imo - especially MAP.
