blacktop head on stock silvertop block?

Postby gmacrae » Wed Jan 30, 2008 2:04 pm

Hi guys. Got a blacktop head im thinking of putting on my silvertop block, just wanting to know if there are any differences in the valve sizes/placements in the blacktop head that will cause the valves not to fit into the silvertop cutouts? Just want to make sure it stays non-interferrence... might have the head shaved a bit too.

Also, I'll want to run the blacktop ecu, will it physically plug into a manual silvertop loom? I understand ill have to wire the map sensor up, the rest of the silvertop sensors are compatible though i take it?

Cheers

if your going to shave the head or anything a silvertop head would interfare just as much as the blacktop one.

can be done, use the blacktop tb's and ex 4-2 tho
all sensors are compatible, its just working out the wiring and wiring the ae111 plugs in. wont be just a plug in - drive.

will need to put black top pistons in as the valve cut outs are different to the st ones.will make a stronger engine for constant higher revs using the silvertop rods. Not to sure about plugs as we put a link in.
