wtf is this gearbox?

Postby Lloyd » Wed Feb 27, 2008 9:11 pm

Anyone know? Similar ratios to a W55 from memory. Not sure what the bolt pattern matches up to and was hoping someone could tell me. Was told T50 but not sure, and also told very close to a W series but again cant be sure. Anyone have any ideas?

First pic, second pic, third pic.

Definatly not a T50 or a W5# series gearbox.

Probably only a 4 speed? and old!

Also they are compatible with W series bellhousings according to the site with the ratios.

Be nice if they are, shifter looks to be nice and forward and would save finding a W series box with the shifter up there. might have to have a measure up

Early G52 Hilux, prob '87-88ish at a guess. Will bolt up to W series bellhousings sweet as, some bells may need little trim at bottom to fit over bigger front bearing plate of the G52. Apart from tailshaft housing, pretty much same as W55.
